A New Day

Hi friends.

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve been around. It’s been a whirlwind of a summer. It’s possibly been the hardest summer of our lives, but it’s also been one of the best.

Here’s a quick recap: Shane was offered a job at Lakeside Christian Church in Northern Kentucky, and we are SO thankful. He is the campus worship leader at the Hebron campus, and we are now living in Union. WE LOVE IT. He began mid-May, and Winnie and I moved to join him at the end of June.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved Elliott this summer. It was so hard, and it still is. Even to type that sentence has me in tears. She gave us one of the greatest gifts in this life – her companionship carried us through so much. I shared this on my Instagram… Shane said it best: She saw us through so many life events, so many ups and downs. She was there for everything, the good and the bad. We’ve been longing for home for years, and she knew that. She helped us get here, and now that it’s done, she knew her job was finished. 🖤

There were many other days this summer that were even harder for us and so many of our friends, but we’ve never been more acutely aware of the presence of God through it all.

I’ve spent the last few weeks with the most precious images of my career. I’ve prayed, cried, and worshipped for hours each day as I’ve pored over every photo. I’m forever changed, and so is the work I do.

Which brings me to this – the face of my business is changing. I am so excited for what’s next, and I think 2020 could be a very exciting and intentional year for me. In the meantime, I am back to shooting and accepting a limited number of sessions in October and November (including a mini-session day for Southern Indiana).

Please email me here to schedule your session asap. Thanks for being here, and I can’t wait for what’s next.
