When I asked Zach and Grace where they wanted their engagement photos, they said downtown New Albany and I was pumpeddddd. I’ve shot downtown before, and I NEVER get tired of it. I love revisiting places and challenging myself to find new angles and a new appreciation. Plus, there’s this Alley Cats mural, so I […]
Getting to photograph proposals is such a gift, and I’m not shy when it comes to the fact that I’m really dang good at it. 😆🤷 I love when my grooms-to-be trust me and ask my opinion because they know I know what I’m doing! And there’s nothing better than that. Can we talk about […]
I love being a Cincinnati motherhood photographer. Whether it’s a Fresh 48 or newborn session, or a session made just for mommas and their babies, I LOVE photographing these moments. Alyssa was made to be a momma – it was a gift to document the way she loves on her baby girl.
I truly love photographing proposals. And I really love shooting at Devou Park, especially this overlook. 😍 I’ve been shooting proposals for almost 10 years, and I’m proud to be able to bring a certain expertise to it. When Obi and I talked about his afternoon with Rylee, I was excited to get to help […]
I truly love photographing proposals. I’ve shot a number over the years, and they remain one of my favorite things to be a part of. It’s been a while since I was a wedding photographer, but getting to shoot these keeps me connected to that world, and I love it. One of my favorite parts […]
Turning pain into praise. This family has had the unfortunate opportunity of doing just that. But goodness, they are doing it beautifully. When you watch someone journey this life the way that these two are, there is no denying the presence of our King. He is writing a story that is bigger than we can […]
4 years Four. How is it possible to be here already? But I am so thankful for every day with this girl. She is a firecracker. She has grown and changed in the biggest ways this year. Her vocabulary is so big, and her personality is even bigger. Last year, when she turned three, I […]
Taken from Calla’s homecoming celebration announcement… “Calla’s vision is one of color and sparkle, glitter and glam, so please expect nothing less as we honor her beautiful heart and praise God for the forever impact she has made on each of us.” Calla, sweet girl, I think your vision was accomplished. This day was one […]
I’ve been doing this for almost 15 years. I’ve been given the gift of telling family stories … photographing babies as they grow, parents as they love. I’ve had the privilege to be a part of lives and celebrations filled with so much joy. There have been many moments I’ve photographed with tears in my […]
dear calla, I met your dad first. My husband, Shane, had recently taken a job at the church, and your dad was one of the first people he connected with. They got along right away – they have so much in common. First, their similar, goofy personalities that seem to come out the most when […]
For a year, I have tried to write about this. 365 days of trying to put words to a grief I’ve never experienced… and a redemption that I didn’t know my soul needed. Then I found this: “And I did not know that in the middle of much pain and grief and loss, I would […]
3 years It is hard to believe she’s turning three. When I took her two-year photos last year, I had no idea what was going to unfold over the next 365 days. 2019 has been the hardest year of our lives, but she has been such a light for us this year. She is such […]
Hi friends. I know it’s been a minute since I’ve been around. It’s been a whirlwind of a summer. It’s possibly been the hardest summer of our lives, but it’s also been one of the best. Here’s a quick recap: Shane was offered a job at Lakeside Christian Church in Northern Kentucky, and we are […]
I adore photographing motherhood, even if it means just squeezing a few minutes in at the end of a family session. Not to mention, this sweet family has been a favorite of mine from day one.
Motherhood sessions will never not be my favorite things to shoot. There is something so beautiful and special, whether your baby is brand new or going off to college – celebrating motherhood is always the best.
This is one of my favorite motherhood sessions I have shot. These two are the sweetest together, and I am so thankful to have had them in front of my camera.
Being a proposal photographer is so much fun and always exciting. I get to meet the best people, hang out in the coolest places, and see some of the most beautiful moments take place. This Lisse Restaurant proposal was no exception to all of those things. My favorite part of this night could easily have […]
It’s no secret, but I love motherhood sessions. And I also love sessions that take place in the cutest bakeries, like 410 Bakery.
2 Years Last year, I recapped this girl’s month-to-month, and I loved doing it. I contemplated keeping that trend going, but this year went by so quickly, she’s turning two before I even got my feet on the ground. It’s hard to believe she’ll be two on Monday. This last year was so full for […]
This University of Cincinnati proposal was so much fun to be a part of. The weather was beautiful and the location was perfect. Oh, and the couple was one of the cutest and sweetest I’VE EVER MET. I love the details of every proposal, and this one was no exception. Under the ruse of getting family […]
When Andrew and I originally chatted about his proposal to Melanie, we planned for a Spring day in March on the Purple People Bridge. I envisioned a bridge full of people enjoying the weather – people I could easily blend in with, maintaining my proposal photographer anonymity. However, in true Cincinnati fashion, the Spring weather […]
Sometimes, two people who mean the world to you decide to get married. You photograph their big moment, and then you spend a weird amount of time trying to write a post about them, but you come up short because sometimes words can’t do justice to the way you feel. (Scott’s hands… ta da! … haha!) . […]

This was a record-breaking proposal for me… it was the absolute darkest setting I’ve been asked to photograph. Quite the challenge, but I absolutely love that Lucas chose to ask Aubrey to be his bride under the glow of twinkling lights. Following the big question, we walked for a few minutes (it was FREEZING. and […]
Through pregnancy and this first year of parenting, we’ve heard a lot of advice and cautionary tales, warning us of what to expect. Seasoned paroents sharing stories, attempting to vet us and prepare us, I suppose. However, it did everything but prepare us, and in the end, it left us questioning why these “been there, […]
When Tim emailed about proposing to his bride-to-be, I was more than excited to be there to document it! We planned on a sweet riverfront proposal, but a last minute festival had Tim scrambling to find a new location. We ended up at Cincinnati’s Xavier University, and it left me questioning why this wasn’t our […]
I was so excited when Ryan, who is a currently a Pennsylvania resident, got in touch about surprising his girlfriend on the Mt. Adams steps in Cincinnati. Since she had no idea he was even in Cincinnati, he had to deploy some pretty stealthy hiding skills as she climbed the steps to where he was […]
Patrick did such a good job surprising his bride-to-be, not once, but TWICE on this day. To begin with, she had no idea that the little detour they were taking to the Mt. Adams steps wasn’t a part of a run-of-the-mill date night. I had never been to these steps before, but now that I […]

These two were engaged downtown on Reds Opening Day, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I was honored to be there to photograph it, as well as a quick engagement session following the big question. These are always some of my favorite photos because the bride-to-be is still settling into what just happened, and […]
Jake contacted me during a what I have been calling “proposal week” – I was contacted by FOUR grooms-to-be, but couldn’t make the timing work with anyone but Jake. I’d say that means this was absolutely meant to be, and I am SO THANKFUL! He couldn’t have been a nicer, kinder gentleman, and his bride to […]
