I wrapped up my wedding photography career with this wedding, and I could not have asked for a better way to end. Corey and Ashley were picture-perfect, and they were absolutely the most fun. We literally almost lost appendages with record-breaking cold temperatures (my fingers were bruised from the cold!), but I dare say that every second (and every frozen body part) was worth it. So excited to get into her dress… one of my favorite moments of the day. AAAASSHHLEEEY!!! So! Beautiful!!
In order to keep our gorgeous bride and her gorgeous friends from slipping in the snow, this bride’s dad came to the rescue with a makeshift cardboard sidewalk using two large cardboard pieces – the girls would all climb aboard one piece, he would move the other to the front, and they would all repeat. I giggle every time I look at this – it was like they were all shuffling onto a little life raft. Speaking of slipping in the snow… hey girls, remember that time we almost lost Sami? (see above photo, gorgeous girl on left, taken right before she almost lost her balance!)
Corey was the most dapper and handsome of grooms!
Time for a wedding! We shot their photos at The Cathedral, and I don’t know if I mentioned HOW COLD IT WAS, but because of that, we had to shoot everything in record time – I’m talking 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there – I couldn’t be happier with our frozen, high-speed photography results!
Before heading into the Madison for their reception, these two planned a cute and intimate sparkler entrance with their bridal party and close friends – it was such a fun way to kick start the party! Corey and Ashley:: your day was the absolute perfect way to end 2017. You two are the best.
