Southern Indiana and Louisville Photographer | Fresh 48 Photography | Magnolia

Fresh 48 sessions are my absolute favorite things to photograph. I say it every time I shoot one – I love this job, and I’m beyond thankful.

Magnolia was born at St. Elizabeth in Northern Kentucky, and while I don’t need much convincing to head to that part of town, I don’t mind having sessions like this as an excuse. 😊

Getting to meet this eagerly-awaited little girl and her excited big brothers was a treat. Magnolia is greatly loved, and I have a feeling she will be greatly watched after and protected.

This sweet girl was the perfect Christmas gift at the end of last year.

Nothing to see here, just a ONE-DAY-OLD BABY LIFTING HER HEAD OVER AND OVER.

So many BIG thank you’s to this family. It was a joy to photograph you and spend a couple of hours getting to know you.

  • Easter Sunday, 2019 | 04•21•2019 ✨ • on the day when You arose, the darkness ran for cover, for the King of kings has claimed His throne, now until forever

  • I’m sharing more photos of her than I usually intend to, but I love who she is right now, and I love documenting that via Instagram (I’ve tried other apps but haven’t found one where I can keep photos/captions easily accessible like this - any suggestions?).

She’s 2.5, and she says SO much. She tells stories, sings songs (baby “ayuga,” worship music, and her “abcd’s” are her favorites), and gives us her opinion regularly. 🥴😂 Her favorite foods are pizza and “treats,” her favorite dress is the one with the pockets, and her favorite color is black (definitely my child 🖤😂). She loves wearing “neskits”
(necklaces) and eating chicken “nusgits,” she knows where to go for “Winnie’s donuts” with sugars (sprinkles) and where to get “momma’s coffees” (ok so maybe we go to @dunkin a little too often 🍩🤷🏻‍♀️), and she knows exactly where @bassproshops is. Her favorite thing to do is to go see “the fishies” - she has even named a few, and she knows exactly which is which. 🐟
Just like any toddler, she’s a sponge and soaks up and remembers every little thing she hears. She recounts things to us from weeks earlier, and can recall details that even Shane and I have long forgotten. She knows her letters, colors, and shapes, and has even started to understand phonics and simple math a little. She blows our minds every day.

We are thankful every second of every day. These last few months have been a little trying for her daddy and me, but this tiny one truly is our sunshine. Our favorite time every day is right before bed when we sit down with her bible, and she tells us about Noah, Jonah, John (“he had a big, bushy beard!”), and most importantly, Jesus. No matter our circumstances, this girl is a light and a reminder of what is good every single day. ♥️

  • I took a few quick photos of our girl in her Easter dress before church tonight. It was cold and rainy out, so we took advantage of this small pocket of light inside the house. This was one I shot while I was adjusting my settings, and I feel like it tells a story fitting of this weekend - we were lost in darkness, but the light is coming. 🌤
