Our old house had a style of its own,
so it was fairly easy to decide how to fill it.
The house we have in Indiana has an entirely new personality,
and it’s been hard to figure out what to do with it.
Plus there is absolutely no buying new things,
so making it work has been the name of the game.
And, surprisingly, it’s kind of a difficult game to play!
Anyway, on to some photos….
And, it probably goes without saying, but this photo (below) is the after.
This is the side of the room that we use the most –
it doesn’t hurt that it’s closest to the kitchen. : )
Oh, and these lights? 2 for $10 at a local thrift store.
YES. TWO FOR ONLY TEN DOLLARS. HOLY SMOKES, COME TO MAMA.
I have been on a major Raising Hope kick.
I couldn’t even turn it off for these photos. Oops.
So, of course, I obliged.
“without these moments-
some no doubt breathtaking,
others equally heart wrenching –
your story isn’t your story.
and without your story,
you aren’t you.”
By the way, this bowl is AAAAAHMAZING.
It was handmade by one of our dearest friends from KC,
and it was one of the things I was most excited to unpack and put on display.
And that’s that.
One of these days, I’ll share our kitchen, which is where the most change has been made.
Also, if you live nearby, come see us and our home in person. Right now.
And if you live out of town, come see us and our home in person. Right now. : )
