Our White House // a home tour:: let’s eat, the updated version
I posted a little update last week,
and here’s a little continuation of it.
The dining room hasn’t changed much since I posted it before. But the little it has is worth showing, right? :)
Not sure if you know this, but I LOVE thrifting/antiquing/call-it-whatever-you-want-ing. :)
Almost everything in our home was previously owned, including the table, the toolbox, and the coasters seen in these photos.
And these coasters were a STEAL.
Plus, I split the set with a BFF, so every time I use them, I think of her.
And it is great.
Before deciding that these thrifted school chairs should actually be used as functional seating,
I decorated them. Because why not, right?
And, that’s our dining room/kitchen. You can see more here … and here.
sidenote: you know the Target Dollar Spot? wellllll, my sister gave me a sunflower starter from there for Christmas last year.
I don’t have anything resembling a green thumb, so I waited almost a year before planting the seeds.
AND THEN THEY GREW.
If you follow my instagram, you’ve seen the recent news about said sunflower.
But, anyway. Moving on.
I went on to buy a basil plant from the same dollar bin, AND IT’S GROWING. AH!
(it’s the iiiiiiity bitty flower pot in the photo on the right)
WHOOP!
This showed up at the bottom of a current post so I clicked on it and nearly cried at the memories in this kitchen…and at how close it was to my own kitchen :(. So happy you guys are where you are because I know it’s where you’re supposed to be but, DANGIT….
