The Madison Event Center Wedding Photographer | Rob and Alli
The boss would totally disagree with me, but I LOVE our hometown. I love being in it (there is something about knowing a place as well as I know that place), and I LOVE shooting in it. When Alli told me she was going back home for her wedding, I was so pumped. She and Rob live in Tennessee, but they were married in a little church in town, and had their reception in Covington (but more on that later). It. was. PERFECT.Alli got ready at the Empire House – I was in search of a good place to shoot her details, and then… I found this green chair. This green, love of my life. I may have loved it a little too much… I took something like 2,234 detail shots with it. I also joked about sneaking it into my car (and by “joked,” I mean I wanted to steal it). But, the owner of said chair knows my mom, and I knew she’d tell my mom, and I would end up grounded somehow, and then I’d have to take the chair back and apologize, and it would just be this whole, awkward thing. : ) … so, I left it. But, for owners of beautiful green chairs who DON’T know my mom? I’ve got my eye on you.
Oh yes. The back of her gown was KILLER.
Not only was I obsessing over that green chair, but I also couldn’t believe THIS BRIDE. OH MY GOODNESS, ALLI!!! And then there’s the matter of this tree. Needless to say, I was having a day.
Absolutely breathtaking.
Dads. GOSH. I love them.
Alli and Rob chose to save seeing each other for her walk down the aisle, and it worked beautifully with how they planned their day. They completely trusted me on how their timeline should look, and it made for a relaxed portrait time for each of them.
WEEEEEEDDDDIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG TIIIIIIIIMMMMMME!
As always, I insisted on a few minutes immediately following the ceremony for just the two of them. Sometimes this is the only part of your wedding day that you get to be alone (I’m there, but I stand at a distance, promise), and it is so very important to make time for this.
After some incredible portrait time wandering around downtown Covington, we headed to The Madison South for their reception. I’ve only ever shot in The Madison North (I didn’t even know there was another option!), but true to its style, it did NOT disappoint. The staff and the service was outstanding, and the venue itself was gorgeous.
R + A…
WOW, you guys.
your day was incredible, and I am SO thankful you chose me.
